My God-forsaken dinner.

Here it is. My dinner. Do you see those nice polenta slices? Lying next to each other in discrete, perfect squares? Squares that were cut from a nice, fresh-baked roasted vegetable polenta loaf? And then garnished with avocado slices and fresh diced tomato?!

NO. NO YOU DON'T.

You see a pile of cornmeal mush, dotted with various colors of chopped up peppers, sitting in a huge inchoate mess on an ugly set of hand-me down plates that my mother gave me when I moved into my first apartment.

Something tells me this is one of those nights I'm going to end up washing dishes and listening to too much Interpol...

...at least it tasted good.
