Seen Finding Nemo? Good. Remember Mr.Ray, the loveable, instructive manta ray teacher with a flare for encouraging inquiry and exploration among the little fishy kids at Nemo's school? Good.

CNN.com reports on a trademark infringement lawsuit brought by one Mr. Ray Yodlowsky against Disney and Pixar. He's a children's entertainment artist and worries that the association with the indefatiguable manta may confuse his audience and would detract from the potentially astounding upward momentum of his career.

:::ahem::: and I quoth:

"It's weird," he said Monday. "I'm a human ... that's a manta ray. People must be thinking I'm nuts. But it's my future, and who knows what plans they have for their Mr. Ray?"

Yes, Ray. Yes. I couldn't agree with you more completely. One must protect one's future, mustn't they? And who knows what the collective "they" may have in store for Mr. Ray's future? (Because "they," apparently the powers that be, do make a habit of concerning themselves with the destinies of presumably persecuted children's artists.) And yes, Ray, people DO think you're nuts. And it IS weird.
