I was thinking today...and not very profoundly, I warn you...in fact, over a 700 page PACS reader that I had absolutely no interest in at the moment...about the Aquabats. Does anyone remember them? Damn, they were cool. Super Rad. The Chicken Song. Powdered Milk Man?! Damn.

And do you know why they were brilliant? (Brace yourself, I'm about to go reeling into the dimenses of a critique of Americana...) Because they were a few dudes probably doing nothing amazing who put on superhero suits and formed a band to sing songs that are funny because they're dumb and damn! I still love America.
