On LeConte today (LeConte and Westwood, that is...not, oh, say LeConte and Hearst) I was looking around at all of the very tall buildings and thinking: "I had NO idea that I'd be here a year ago."
But some parts aren't even that much different (ahem...LeConte...) Big school mentality. Big school beaurocracy. Lots of the same names on the buildings.
And yet...
And you may ask yourself How do I work this? And you may ask yourself Where is that large automobile? And you may tell yourself This is not my beautiful house! And you may tell yourself This is not my beautiful wife!

gradually a lot of our stuff is baing named after Alex Spanos, the owner of the SD Chargers, Cal Poly alumnist, Cal Poly Band Drum Major '41-'42 (whoa!). we already have our theater named after him, and we'll soon have Alex Spanos Stadium Memorial Field. Davis is the same way...
